April is National Volunteer Month

April is National Volunteer Month. Our community association is fortunate to benefit from the time, energy and expertise of many volunteers. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the volunteers who have helped in several capacities over the past year. Board members, committee members, photographers, outdoor rink maintainers, playground builders and special event helpers have all contributed to making North Glenmore Park a great place to live.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved in your community, please consider volunteering for the community association in a role that interests you. We always welcome volunteers and are currently recruiting residents to assist at our annual community recycling day on Saturday, May 5th and our annual (pre)Stampede Breakfast on Saturday, June 16th. In addition, we’ll need lots of volunteers for our fundraising casino on Saturday, August 11th and Sunday, August 12th. We are also keen to recruit youth volunteers (minimum age of 14 years) to assist with our summer day camp excursions.

For more details and a complete list of volunteer opportunities, please visit the volunteer section of www.ngpca.ca or call 403-246-4243.
