We are trusting that everyone had a safe and fabulous Spring Break. Hopefully, the students had lots of time to rest and regroup as we are going to get busy! For our junior high students, we are in the last three months of the school year! Our Grade 9 students are being prepared for their Provincial Achievement Tests in their core academic classes; these will be written in May and June. Please check our website for a schedule of the exam dates as we get closer to May. For our high school students, we are in our last three months of the semester. Finally, for our Grade 12 students, the excitement of Graduation Ceremonies and Banquet is growing. This month, a Grad Handbook will be posted on the Queen Elizabeth website with specific information about the Ceremonies and the Banquet. Tickets will be on sale at the end of the month.
The Senior Boys’ Soccer team is in top shape as they defend their City Championship! Our other spring sports such as badminton, rugby, field hockey and track and field are gearing up for another great season.
We had three teams represent Queen Elizabeth at the Alberta Provincial Debate Tournament held on March 10. We are so proud of their journey and their accomplishments.
A group of our grade nine students participated in the SEA Program sailing trip to the west coast in March. As well, our Senior Band has had an up close and personal adventure with Mickey Mouse and his friends when they travelled to Disneyland late in March. Thank you for all your hard work and for representing Queen E so well!
