Summer is almost here and it’s a great time to head back outside; look for me and our volunteers in Nose Hill Park this summer; we’ll be handing out blue flax flower seeds and saying hello to hikers and their four-legged friends. No, don’t use the seeds for your smoothie.
Albertans can now take advantage of instant rebates for energy-efficient home products; this will continue until June 11th with another six-week retail campaign being offered in the fall. Rebates for items like programmable thermostats, water-saving devices, smart power strips, and heavy-duty timers will help people save money and conserve energy. The rebates will be available at home improvement stores across the province. Details are available on the Energy Efficiency Alberta website: https://www.efficiencyalberta.ca.
In April I gave a Member Statement in the Legislature about the Hangar Flight Museum which is in Calgary Mackay Nose Hill. Alberta has a rich history in flight that our province can be very proud of. It’s been an important contributor to the oil and gas industry, northern exploration, the development of passenger airlines, and providing assistance to northern communities. Please take some time to visit them soon.
And finally, save the date for my 2nd Annual Tacky Cowboy Shirt Stampede BBQ. We are excited to be having it at Symons Valley Ranch again this year. Watch our Facebook page for more details about our July 8th event. You can RSVP for the BBQ at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 403-215-7710.
